Data handling / Artworking / Printing / Kitting / Fulfilment

Tesco have 315 cafés all over the UK. To reflect menu, season and ad-hoc campaign changes the Point of Sale (POS) in the cafés is updated regularly. Tesco came to BCQ to provide ongoing support to populate the preapproved artwork templates, print and produce all the POS, and manage its kitting and fulfilment to each of the cafés. All had to be done quickly whilst ensuring the right pricing information, promotion and POS goes to each store.

Why they chose BCQ.

Tesco needed a business who could manage all aspects of the POS production from artwork, to printing, database and allocation management, to kitting and fulfilment. BCQ’s breadth of services meant we were ideally suited to do this.

From receipt of artwork our account management team coordinate the customisation of each of the POS items for each of the 315 stores, work out their specific allocations and POS formats, as well as organise and manage all approvals.

Once approved print production begins of all the POS. As items are produced, they are packed into their relevant kits and dispatched to the appropriate café for installation in line with their promotional timeline. Any additional items are stored in our warehouse for future call off, with BCQ’s team managing all orders and liaising directly with each of the 315 sites.

The outcome.

BCQ’s broad service offering and account management structure means Tesco now have one source and one contact to manage all aspects of the work. By having a one source supplier their costs and lead times on the items have reduced dramatically, and Tesco are dealing with a partner they can trust.
